Third year Doctoral Student
Hi all! I will be joining The Center this summer for my year-long practicum training with Drs. Lorna Jansen and Brittnie Blanchard as my primary supervisors. I am a third year doctoral student at Widener University’s Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology. I am someone who is passionate about this field of work and eager to support people in whatever struggles they may be going through. My emphasis in therapy is to create a working relationship that is caring, supportive, and non-judgemental. In the therapy space, I want to explore challenges collaboratively and work to help my clients reach their full potential. I truly believe that fostering this type of comfortable, collaborative, and supportive space helps to nurture a successful therapeutic outcome.
Last year, I completed my practicum rotation at ACGHealth, where I worked primarily with members of the LGBTQ+ community. At ACGHealth, I conducted individual therapy and co-facilitated group therapy. In my training, I have treated depression, anxiety, and trauma. Aside from my practicum experience, I also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this time, I implemented behavioral interventions with elementary and middle school-age students who struggled with ineffective behaviors. My time working in these environments has helped me gain experience and knowledge in helping a diverse range of folks with unique struggles. At The Center, I provide a variety of therapies for children, teens and adults under the supervision and guidance of our team of skilled clinical psychologists. During my rotation at The Center, I am looking to build upon, and extend, my clinical skills into the assessment realm.
