Maddie Keifer, MA

I am so excited to be conducting my year-long practicum training under the supervision of Drs. Anastasia Checchio and Michael Oakley at The Center! I am a third-year doctoral student in the Doctor of Psychology program at West Chester University, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. In my training so far, I have gained experience providing both individual and group therapy for those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, Neurodiversity-related challenges, relationship difficulties, behavior difficulties, and life stress both in schools and in community-based outpatient settings.

My treatment approach is centered on the individual’s needs and incorporates evidence-based treatments including CBT, DBT, and IPT. I am passionate about creating a collaborative and safe space for clients to achieve their goals and feel understood. I am particularly interested in intersections of mental health, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and I strive to make the therapeutic space accessible and inclusive.

In my free time, I love live music and theater, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
