Brittany Keim, MS, LPC

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has experience treating a wide range of mental health challenges using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP). I believe that it is important to utilize the above practices as a foundation to treatment while also recognizing that each client is unique, has different needs, and therefore, requires an individualized therapy experience.

My approach to treatment is a balance of being supportive, collaborative, and action-based. I believe that it is important to create a safe and inclusive space, where we can work together to discuss challenges and to establish goals to facilitate positive change.

I have specialized experience working with those impacted by anxiety and related disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), but I also treat a number of mental health concerns such as depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

I work with children, teens, and adults of all ages. I am particularly passionate about working with school-aged children and their parents. I strongly believe that age-appropriate psychoeducation and active skill-building can not only assist in helping one navigate a current challenge, but can also be applied to future obstacles and difficulties. When appropriate, I like to incorporate parents and families into treatment and also allocate time to providing them with resources, skills, and support. I live by the saying, “You can never have too many tools in your tool box.”

Prior to obtaining my LPC, I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Currently, I am dedicated to raising awareness about various mental health topics and educating the public so that individuals can find appropriate services and begin the journey to bettering their lives. I enjoy doing talks in the community and writing blogs about relevant mental health matters.

When I am not working, you can probably assume that I am playing with my two cats, Luma and Mushu! I also really enjoy going on walks, doing crafts, and decorating my house for each season.
