Maria Kaloudis, MS

Hello! I am a third-year doctoral student studying School Psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. My passion lies in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for individuals to thrive academically or occupationally and emotionally. I believe in a collaborative approach to support, working closely with teachers, family members, and other professionals to create a holistic support system for each person. Last year, I completed my practicum experience at the Pennsbury School District, where I worked primarily with elementary school students. During my time there, I conducted assessments and implemented interventions. In addition to my practicum experience, I have over three years of experience as a school counselor, working at both elementary and high school levels in public and private schools. My role as a school counselor involved providing academic guidance, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, developing and implementing programs to address bullying and peer conflict, and supporting students in their college and career planning.

These experiences have enriched my understanding of the diverse needs of students and the importance of creating individualized support plans to help them succeed. Professionally, my interests are centered on assessing and working with individuals to support their unique needs. I am dedicated to providing personalized interventions that help individuals develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. Outside of my professional practice and academics, I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family. I have two dogs and a cat who bring joy to my life, and I often find relaxation through walks in the park near my home.
