Mollie Katzen, BA

Hi everyone! I am excited to be joining The Center for my year-long practicum training under the supervision of Drs. Lorna Jansen and Brittnie Blanchard. I am a third-year doctoral student in the Doctor of Psychology program at West Chester University, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. I have experience in providing therapeutic support, both individually and within groups, for those experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, life stress, and Neurodiversity-related stressors, in a community-based outpatient setting.

My treatment approach is grounded within a developmentally informed lens, tailoring care to each individual’s needs and goals, and incorporating evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I also have experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and helping clients and families translate assessment results into practical strategies that support academic success and overall well-being. Beyond my clinical training, I hold positions in my university’s Autism support program and the Office of Educational Accessibility, which have further expanded my therapeutic skills as well as my understanding of academic accommodations and individualized support planning at the college level.

I am passionate about providing compassionate, collaborative, and Neurodiversity-affirming care, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful goals. I am especially passionate about supporting Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals in building self-understanding, identifying strengths, and navigating everyday challenges, and am committed to promoting inclusion, respect, and advocacy for Neurodivergent individuals across all areas of life. I feel honored to support clients in their journeys and aim to create a space where they feel safe, supported, and empowered.

In my free time, I enjoy running, baking, and spending time with friends, family, and my goldendoodle.
